Appliance operators, and facebook...
The heck with FB, I'm on it, and it sucks, at best. Worthless for
forums (I'm on/in a few, just scrambled garbage), even our plain text
forums like this far out-do it. The amount of resources, and overhead
for a single post, can be compared to a global military operation to get
a cup of coffee.
Appliance operators. About as exciting as operating a volt meter to me.
I suppose it appeals to some, but I don't get it.
Anyway, I've got piles of antennas, and related, covering nearly a
century, and I've been looking at some more modern equipment to work
with the stuff, equipment that gives me more than just the slight dip of
a meter, so I've been getting a lot of good ideas for ways to test,
analyze, build, et cetera, from open field analysis, TEM cells, little
sniffers, and couplers, even thought about a drone with an RF source to
fly in a grid, and get real-world results of an antenna.
Hoping to get into the tower talk page, I see a lot of activity in the
archives.
Kurt
