Bill, You can find a very suitable pad at the grocery store and all big box stores. I have used the round rubber pad that is used to remove the lid from fruit jars. They are about the right diameter for most magnets and have a good traction. I have a 2m DDRR antenna that I just covered the bottom of the magnet with duck tape. Works equally well. * 73's Jim W5IFP * w5ifp at gvtc.com >-----Original Message----- >From: antennas-bounces at mailman.qth.net >[mailto:antennas-bounces at mailman.qth.net]On Behalf Of FireBrick >Sent: Sunday, October 11, 2009 5:11 PM >To: Antenna List >Subject: [Antennas] disks that go under rooftop magnets > > >The disks you place under your roof magnet mount to protect the >car finish. >Can't seem to find a vendor, and even what they are called. > >and was shocked to not be able to find them on eBay. > >any body know a source? >---------------------------------------------------------- >Endocannibalism (n): The result of a really hungry cannibal. >---------------------------------------------------------- >TOWER/WEBCAMS and Weather Page >@ http://hhweather.webhop.org > >______________________________________________________________ >Antennas mailing list >Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/antennas >Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm >Post: mailto:Antennas at mailman.qth.net > >This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net >Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
