[Antennas] WINDOM

Frank,
The “other wires” are all electrically (and mechanically) connected to the
center feed-point of the main dipole, correct? Then they are all dipoles,
not reflecting or separate from anything. This is a “fan dipole” and myself
and thousands of others use exactly the same configuration. Tuning in
between the resonance of any of the dipoles a little snaky compared to a
single dipole, but as long as the lowest antenna forms larger than a 120
degree angle to itself they all work fine.

Yes, but the 75 meter is a dipole and the other are just half wave wires
for 80, 40, an 30. Got a beam to handle 20, 15, and 10.

>No cage spreaders. I just hung the centers of the wires from the center
of the dipole and spaced them about six inches below the one above and
so on. All wires in inverted vee. End terminations determine ultimate
spacing. When the wind blows hard the wires flop around a little and
the swr varies some but not so much that it is a problem.
