[Antennas] Elevated Cushcraft R-7?

Hi Roland,
Likewise - I have been using 1/2-wave verticals (R5, Hy-Gain DX-77 and now
R8) since 1993, and have always elevated them 3m (10ft) above the structure
to which the support mast was attached.
All these verticals worked quite well on my site. The R8 is the best of the
bunch so far. It has been in service for nearly 5 years at my QTH, and is
trouble-free at 1kW. The ATU in my Yaesu Quadra amplifier matches it down to
VSWR < 1.1:1 on all bands, including most of 40m.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

You are right on this, I have use one for 4 years, and it states in the
instruction , no radials.. A lot of people, making a lot of statments, that
know nothing of the R 7 antenna, very good antenna..
