Umm....the eddies that are set up by pointing the elements into the wind
will create audible and significant vibrations that will fatigue the
element tips and in a year or two, they will break off! This happened to
me. I have found that the best position is to point the boom into the wind
or 180 deg. Period. 30+ yrs of experience speaks here. Yes, the elements
will sway way back in a big wind, but they won't go into that quickly self
destructive mode.
