[Antennas] Cleaning Aluminum ....question

Kees and all,
Does anyone know anything about an aluminum cleaning agent that has a
characteristic smell like bananas?? I know all the lye and coil cleaner
suggestions work well from personal experience, but had heard about this
banana smelling stuff years ago and always wondered what it was. The person
telling me about this cleaner though it was common in the Southeastern US.
Just curious................
