Rick,
If you're going to run QRP or even 100W .. then the end insulators
should be made of insulating material .. PVC will work.
BUT .. IF you are going to run QRO .. then PVC has been known to
breakdown under high voltage conditions, and there will be VERY high
voltages at the ends of that 'stealth dipole'!
By the way ... why a 'stealth' antenna, if it's going to be hidden in an
attic?
Last antenna I had up in an attic was made of #12 solid copper wire ..
didn't think I should 'hide' it as the roof did that job for me!
