Not sure that it will make enough difference in 'RF exposure' to make it
worthwhile ..

There's enough metal in the rest of the vehicle that you shouldn't worry
about how the antenna 'plays' with that hole in your roof .. errr . hole
in the roof of your car. 
I operated HF mobile for many years in a CONVERTIBLE .. with the SOFT
top UP and DOWN .. it made little difference. [By the way .. I used TWO
close-spaced, phased Hustler verticals on 40m .. worked lots of DX,
too!]
