The reason that these are separate packages is that you can have separate vim versions -- without X11, with Gtk or Motif interface, etc. They all share (ha) the vim-share package.

Ah. Got it. Thanks.

So why is it we can't not get vim thinking it depends on two versions of vim-share after all these years? I haven't been able to figure it out.
