Brief Description

Channel your expertise into an exciting career in aeronautical engineering. The Master of Science (MSc) in Aeronautical Engineering will prepare you to lead in aircraft design, manufacture, operation and maintenance.

You’ll explore the principles behind aircraft and spacecraft design and learn how new technologies are transforming the way these machines are created and tested.

With a wide range of elective modules, you can tailor your learning to match your interests. You’ll study with leading aeronautical engineers and gain hands-on experience in advanced research.

This programme is ideal for engineering graduates who want to specialise in a technical and cutting-edge field.

During this programme, you will:

  • Use your expertise to develop creative and innovative solutions to technical problems such as aircraft flight dynamics and spacecraft trajectories, putting the latest aeronautical engineering research and methods into practice.
  • Discover the new technological developments that are transforming the design, manufacture, testing and maintenance of aircraft, and become a sought-after graduate for the industry.
  • Find out the strategies that engineering professionals use to communicate their ideas and research effectively and develop your leadership skills.
  • Tailor your learning to your interests by choosing one of our four specialist pathways. By the end of the programme, you’ll fulfil the Engineers Ireland requirements for Chartered Engineer status.
