After Sept. 29, 2024, all new products in scope of UL/IEC 60335-2-89, the Standard for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances, and changes to products shall be evaluated to the latest edition of UL 60335-2-89.

In recent years, changes to the HVAC-R refrigerant market have been driven by environmental concerns. Global promoters have been advocating the phase-out of traditional refrigerants in favor of new alternatives with a lower global warming potential (Low GWP).

The impact of these new rules has dramatically altered heating and cooling in a wide range of product categories and has slightly different paths to certification based on regional considerations.

Our expertise and insights can help you keep pace with the rapidly evolving global regulatory requirements of low GWP refrigerant adoption.

Learn how to get ahead of the changes and join our principal engineers for a discussion on the transition to UL 60335-2-89 and the mandatory changes taking place after Sept. 29, 2024.
