Participants of the "Mr. ISHIBASHI Nobuo Memorial International Exchange Program" by SINFONICA visited the Statistics Bureau of Japan (Aug. 30 -Sep. 6, 2023)
From August 30 to September 6, eleven participants from Asian countries of the "Mr. ISHIBASHI Nobuo Memorial International Exchange Program" by the Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis (SINFONICA) visited the Statistics Bureau of Japan as part of the training program. They received lectures on the "Population Census," "Family Income and Expenditure Survey," "Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities," "Portal Site of Official Statistics (e-Stat) and Statistical GIS " and several other topics.

The 3rd Dispatch of Mission Team on Development of Time Use Survey and Statistical Methods (Including SDGs Indicators) Using IT for CAPMAS (Sep. 10 - 14, 2023)
The SBJ dispatched the 3rd mission team from 10 to 14 September, 2023. The mission team discussed and shared opinions with Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) to plan the 3rd training in Japan and future cooperation. During the mission, a seminar was held to share information on status of statistical surveys as well as challenges and future plans in both Egypt and Japan. Further, SBJ observed a field survey for Labour Market Survey and Price Survey conducted by CAPMAS in Port Said governorate area.

The 30th Korean Statistical Mission to Japan (Sep. 11 - 15, 2023)
The 30th statistical mission from Republic of Korea, headed by Mr. Goohyun JUNG, Deputy-Director General for Statistical Service Policy, Statistics Korea (KOSTAT), visited Japan from September 11 to 15, 2023.
After exchanging greetings with the senior officials of the SBJ, they discussed several topics with the SBJ staff: "Statistical Service," "Visualization of Statistics and Provision of OPEN API," and "Producing statistics utilizing administrative data -Register-based Census" etc.
On September 13, they paid a courtesy visit to Mr. HASEGAWA Junji, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications.
After that, the mission visited Statistical Data Utilization Center in Wakayama Prefecture and discussed "Data Access for Official Statistics." Furthermore, they visited Research and Statistics Division of Wakayama Prefectural Government and exchanged experiences and information on the statistical activities of local governments.
