TryMOSK on VMware lets you explore Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK), an open, flexible cloud alternative to VMware, without dedicated hardware or weeks of setup. Deploy a compact, production‐style evaluation cluster on your own vSphere environment using open‐source automation, and experience the power of OpenStack — compute, storage, and networking — managed through Kubernetes.
You will get a complete and ready-to-use Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes cloud running on top of real hardware provided by our partner, Equinix Metal. You’ll have full access to the cloud as if you were running it in your own data center.
No bare metal required. Use your existing vSphere environment to experience OpenStack hands‐on.
Fast and easy. Guided automation handles all the complex steps, including creation of necessary objects in vSphere —you’ll have a working cluster in a few hours.
Real OpenStack, realistic cluster topology. Preconfigured with core OpenStack services like Nova, Cinder, Neutron, Glance, Horizon, Heat, and Octavia; additional components can be enabled after deployment.
Evaluation‐ready. Mirrors what you’d run in production, sized for learning and experimentation.
A production‐style evaluation cluster built for exploration and validation:
Containerized OpenStack on Kubernetes, including: Identity (OpenStack Keystone), Compute (OpenStack Nova), Block Storage (OpenStack Cinder), Networking (OpenStack Neutron), Image service (OpenStack Glance), Orchestration (OpenStack Heat), Load Balancing (OpenStack Octavia), Web Dashboard (OpenStack Horizon)
Optional add‐ons: Shared Filesystems (Manila), Instance HA (Masakari), and Mirantis Dynamic Resource Balancer.
Hyper‐converged, software‐defined storage (Ceph) for volumes and images.
Software‐defined networking
Centralized management cluster with built‐in logging and monitoring system and IAM

Check prerequisites for your vSphere environment, make sure
The cluster has enough resources available
You have access to vSphere cluster API with all the necessary privileges set.
Run the installer with your license key to deploy your MOSK cluster.
Validate and explore: launch instances, attach volumes, configure networking, and test load balancing.
Most users complete deployment and start experimenting in about two hours.
