JAPAN and ILO
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is a unique tripartite UN organization, comprised by the government, worker, and employer representatives (headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland). The aims of ILO are to contribute to the establishment of universal and lasting peace based on social justice, through the betterment of working conditions, and to promote full employment, harmonious management-labour relations, and social security.
Japan, as a Member State of ILO, actively participates in various meetings, including the International Labour Conference (ILC) and the Governing Body, with tripartite representatives of the government, workers, and employers.
