On Monday, October 6, 2025, Mr. Yuichiro Koga, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with Mr. Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana, the Republic of India. The two sides exchanged views on Japan-India cooperation.
Haryana is the foremost state in India in terms of its Japanese corporate presence, hosting approximately 400 companies and around 600 business sites. It is regarded as one of the most significant regions for Japanese manufacturing including the Model Economic Township (MET) City, one of the Japanese Industrial Townships (JITs) in India.
State Minister Koga exchanged views on the business environment that Japanese companies face in Haryana and the potential of Japanese companies in India to expand into markets in other countries, including Africa and so forth, while referencing the Japan-India Summit Meeting in August 2025.
