Column : Japan Corner
Japan Corner is located in the Félix Houphouët – Boigny University, Abidjan-Cocody. Its purpose is to promote the study of the Japanese language and research on Japan in Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa.
It hosts activities such as: Japanese language courses, Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), public speaking competition in Japanese, screening of films and documentaries on Japanese culture and society, conferences and various academic exchanges with external partners, as well as Ivorian Japanese cultural events. This center is a grant from the Japanese government. As part of its contribution, JICA has donated books.
