​Seizo Onoe took office as Director of ITU's Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) on 1 January 2023. He aims to promote open and inclusive standardization for the numerous, increasingly interconnected systems and technologies that drive today's world, aligning international technical standards with sustainable development. ​
