The IAP Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is, subject to the decision of the General Meeting, the governing body of the Association. The Association elects a President, up to nine Vice-Presidents and up to twenty-one other ordinary members to constitute the Executive Committee. The membership of the Executive Committee shall reflect the regions of the world in which the Association has members.

The IAP Senate

The Senate of the Association consists of past members of the Executive Committee. It operates in conjunction with the President and the Executive Committee. The Senate serves as an advisory body and assumes any responsibility imposed on it by the Executive Committee to promote the objects and functioning of the Association.

The IAP Officials

The Executive Committee appoints a Secretary-General who is the Chief Executive of the Association and manages the day-to-day affairs of the Association; a General Counsel, who is the legal counsellor to the Executive Committee and who manages the professional programme and the project work of the Association; and an Executive Director who is responsible for the membership relations and recruitment and for the Association’s network development and facilitation.

The IAP Secretariat is based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
