ReadyCloud ReadyShipper X

How to use an Easysoft ODBC driver to work with ODBC data in ReadyCloud's shipping component ReadyShipper X.

ReadyCloud is a shipping, returns, and customer relationship management (CRM) suite built for e-commerce.

ReadyCloud lets businesses track customer order timelines complete with shipping and return information, ReadyCloud provides:

• Multi-carrier shipping.
• Customer-focused notes.
• Invoice and tracking number tools.
• Group calendar, tasks and team management applications.
• Email marketing solutions.
• Detailed reporting, for example, shipping and profitability reports.

ReadyCloud integrates with many popular online stores and marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, and Square. This facilitates rich cross-channel reporting on customer order and product return activity.

Using order data, ReadyCloud creates instant customer profiles to help businesses improve the customer experience. This includes fulfilling orders faster, offering "Amazon-like" returns, automatically sending customer follow-ups by email or text message (SMS), and ensuring a customer inquiry or support request is always synchronised with their order history.

The ReadyCloud shipping component is called ReadyShipper X. ReadyShipper X provides a set of filters that enable its users to combine order elements to ensure that shipment is handled correctly and cost effectively. This enables orders to be filtered and grouped, so urgent orders, perishable, or potentially hazardous products always rise to the top and are fulfilled first. If goods are prohibited in certain states or countries ReadyShipper X filters ensure that goods are only shipped to legitimate destinations.

For companies with multiple websites or brands, the ReadyShipper "Profiles" feature facilitates a fast, accurate, and uninterrupted shipping process that automatically switches company branding and shipping method using a simple filter-based system. In the case of a warehouse that is handling dozens of individual businesses, each with their own brand identity, ReadyShipper X will automatically switch profiles so that the orders appear to be shipping from the correct retailer and are billed to the correct carrier account.

ReadyShipper X supports ODBC, enabling businesses to use it with orders stored in relational and non-relational databases and back ends. ODBC provides a uniform, cross-DBMS interface and insulates applications from the database by using middleware known as an ODBC driver to translate the application's (ReadyShipper X) requests into something that the database understands.

ReadyShipper X can use ODBC to import orders from or export orders to an ODBC back end.

Working with ODBC data in ReadyShipper X

To get started, download, install, and license the Easysoft driver for your back end on the machine where ReadyShipper X is installed.

Configure and test an ODBC data source that connects to the target back end. For installation and data source configuration information, refer to the documentation for your Easysoft driver.

To import orders from your ODBC back end into ReadyShipper X:

1. In ReadyShipper X, choose Import.
2. Choose Create New Map.
3. In the Order Mapping Wizard screen, choose Continue.
4. Choose ODBC Table.
5. Choose your Easysoft ODBC data source from the list.
6. Choose Connect.
7. Select the table you want to import orders from. Choose Continue.
8. Choose which ReadyShipper X fields you want to map to columns in your ODBC back end.
9. Name the new import map. Choose a date format, weight unit, and default billing status as necessary. Choose Continue.
10. Choose the new import map. Choose Import.

To export orders from ReadyShipper X into your ODBC back end:

1. In ReadyShipper X, choose which orders to export.
2. Choose Export.
3. Choose Create Map.
4. Choose ODBC Table and choose Select.
5. Choose your Easysoft ODBC data source from the list.
6. Choose Connect.
7. Select the table you want to export orders to. Choose Continue.
8. Choose which ReadyShipper X fields you want to map to columns in your ODBC back end.
9. Name your new export map, choose a weight unit and then choose Save button.
10. Choose the new export map and choose the Export.
11. Choose one of the two options based on what you chose in Step 1 and then choose the Start.
