Audiology ICD-10-CM Code Changes for 2025

New and revised ICD-10-CM (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification) codes are effective October 1, 2024, for fiscal year (FY) 2025. ICD-10-CM codes are updated annually. For past updates, see audiology ICD-10-CM code changes for 2024 and 2023.

Note: Always check with payers regarding coverage of new or revised ICD-10-CM codes. Coding changes may not always alter payer coverage decisions for specific conditions.

Summary of Changes

There are no major changes to ICD-10-CM codes directly related to hearing or vestibular disorders for FY 2024. However, audiologists should be aware that the 2024 ICD-10-CM expands the family of diagnosis codes describing Parkinson’s disease for greater specificity. For a full list of changes to the code set, see the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) 2025 release. For a curated list of ICD-10-CM codes for audiologists, see ASHA's ICD-10-CM Codes Related to Hearing and Vestibular Disorders [PDF]
