ISOO has 3 three blogs:
1. Follow the ISOO blog weekly, to receive communication on all ISOO matters.
2. The Transforming Classification blog sponsored by the Public Interest Declassification Board, increases public access, and the proposals aim to improve the classification/declassification’s system capacity to protect and serve the American people.
3. The CUI blog is an educational and informative resource, run by the CUI Executive Agent, to support the implementation of the Federal CUI Program established under Executive Order 13556.

ISOO is responsible to the President for policy and oversight of the Government-wide security classification system and the National Industrial Security Program. ISOO receives policy and program guidance from the National Security Council (NSC).

August 31, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-06: Consolidates and clarifies ongoing guidance on standards for GSA approved security equipment, including procurement requirements, the black label phase-out plan, supplemental controls, and disposal procedures.
August 17, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-05: Provides guidance on ISCAP procedural reforms
August 3, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-04: Provides guidance on which agencies are eligible to receive referrals from Automatic Declassification at 25, 50, and 75 years.
July 9, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-03 - Department of State Declassification Referral Waiver was issued.
June 15, 2026: Future CUI notices to be issued as ISOO Notices under a single series of Notices for both classified information as CUI and can be found here.
June 10, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-02 - Provides guidance regarding prohibiting use of combination translator applications to generate lock combinations that protect classified information.
March 30, 2026: ISOO Notice 2026-01 - Provides guidance regarding agency handling of classified national security information (classified information) and controlled unclassified information (CUI) with the use of various AI systems and tools.
September 18, 2025: ISOO published its FY 2024 Annual Report to the President.- This year’s report expands on ISOO’s core mission areas, and provides statistics and analysis related to the Classified National Security Information (CNSI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) programs.
