Speaking at events taking place alongside COP30 official negotiations in Belém, Brazil, ADBI Dean Bambang Brodjonegoro emphasized the importance of a whole-of-economy approach to increase climate action.

At a Japan Pavilion seminar on 11 November, attended by Kentaro Doi, Japan’s Vice Minister for Global Environmental Affairs, Dean Brodjonegoro emphasized the need for collective action and carbon accounting initiatives.

"We must act decisively, and we must act together," he said.

"From national governments to corporations and individual facilities, the ability to measure, report, and verify greenhouse gas emissions is foundational to achieving our shared goals under the Paris Agreement."
