Announcement: New Applications

We are excited to announce the launch of our new applications! We're opening up early access to our new applications for searching, downloading, and submitting photometric observations. You can now access these applications through these links:

• Global Data Search (new) – Search across all of AAVSO’s databases
• Search and Download Photometric Observations – Search and export results in CSV, JSON, or XLSX
• Submit Photometric Observations – Review your observations on a light curve with historical data

We ask for your feedback in order to help us improve these applications. Please send feedback for the applications above to feedback@aavso.org. Note: please avoid duplicating submissions across the two submit applications.

We’re excited to release new applications including new user profiles, settings, and search pages. These applications should make it easier to manage your account and to connect with other AAVSO users. Once you’ve tried the applications, please let us know how we did by using the Leave Feedback button in the bottom corner of the website.

User Settings

The new Settings tab organizes all your settings in a single place. You can now easily change your password, update communication preferences, and view sites and equipment. You can access your new settings through the user dropdown menu in the right corner.

User Profile

By popular demand, we’ve brought back and redesigned user profiles. The new profile application allows you to share a bio about yourself to other users and display your accomplishments. It will automatically display your AAVSO awards and completed CHOICE courses! You can also allow other users to contact you through the application.

User Search

The user search application allows you to search for other AAVSO members based on name, observer code, and location. If a person has enabled a public profile, you can view their profile from the search results. You can also filter for users who have been active in the last year. This application can help you find specific people or other observers in your town.
