Important Announcement regarding evaluation of English language ability
TOEFL-iBT, TOEIC, or IELTS (Academic Module) taken in advance by each applicant, will be used to evaluate English language ability at the entrance examination for the Department of Genetics, School of Life Science, SOKENDAI. English language ability test is not included in the written test on the entrance examination day.
Acceptable Tests
TOEFL-iBT, TOEIC, or IELTS (Academic Module)
The test must be taken no longer than two years prior to the exam day.
Submission of Score for the Application
Submit a copy of one of the following tests’ score: Examinee’s Score Record for TOEFL-iBT, Official Score Certificate for TOEIC, or Test Report Form for IELTS (Academic Module) for the application. In addition, bring the original on the day of the entrance exam. If you cannot obtain the Score Record on the day of application, bring the original score on the day of the entrance exam. If you use TOEFL-iBT score, you can arrange the score to be sent directly from ETS to SOKENDAI. In that case, you do not have to bring the original score on the day of the exam.
