The Global Research Center for Quantum Information Science at the National Institute of Informatics aims to bring computer scientists, physicists, mathematicians and engineers together to establish the foundation of quantum information technology and explore advances quantum world could provide. The center provides opportunities to collaborate with researchers from different backgrounds, and it welcomes researchers to join its activities.

The Global Research Center for Quantum Information Science at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo (Japan) is seeking applicants for two fixed term theoretical research appointments
1. a five year research position (assistant professor equivalent) in the field of quantum architecture, applications for small scale quantum computation, and/or quantum middle/software.
2. a post-doctoral research position with possible extensions in the field of hybrid quantum systems and quantum simulations.
To apply for the position please send your full CV including a list of publications and a summary of research interests (no more than two pages in A4) to the contact address listed below. You are also requested to list three referees but not requested to send any reference letters at this stage. The applications is to be sent by email to Kae Nemoto, with the subject to indicate which position you are applying to.
