Find & share Key moments

Key moments automatically tags segments of your videos that might be meaningful to you. You can view and share Key moments with your contacts and on social media. This feature only works on videos longer than 10 seconds and can tag up to 3 Key moments per video.

Use Key moments

Create a clip from a Key moment

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Open a video.
  3. Tap Key moment Show less.
  4. Tap Create clip .
  5. To fine-tune the video segment, move the sliders.
  6. To save the adjusted video segment, tap Save.

Share a Key moment

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Open a video.
  3. Tap Key moment Show less.
  4. Tap Share moment Share.

Remove a Key moment marker

  1. On your Android device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Open a video.
  3. Tap Key moment Show less.
  4. Tap Remove marker .
    • This only removes the indicators. It doesn't remove any video content.

Tip: If you accidentally remove a marker, tap Undo .
