Update to Misrepresentation policy (June 2021)
Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.
In June 2021, the Google Ads Misrepresentation policy will be updated to include two policies previously found in the Inappropriate content section. The two policies, which prohibit (1) content promoting harmful health claims, and (2) content that relates to a current, major health crisis and contradicts authoritative scientific consensus, will be moved from the Dangerous or Derogatory content section of the Inappropriate content policy page to the Unreliable claims section of the Misrepresentation policy page.
This change is being undertaken to improve readability and understanding and does not impact what is currently restricted or prohibited per our policies.
Violations of this policy will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning. A warning will be issued at least 7 days prior to any suspension of your account.
