This folder contains the installers for the 64 bit version of Lazarus.
This installation is only for 64 bit versions of Windows.
Applications generated by this Version are 64 bit applications. They will NOT run on any 32 bit Windows. To generate 32 bit applications you will need the 32 bit version of Lazarus.
- The Lazarus team recommends to use the 32bit Version of Lazarus, even for working on 64bit platforms, or for generating 64 bit applications. [1]
Current released versions of FPC (2.6.x) do not include support for SEH handling. This can affect the stability of many 64 bit applications. Therefore it is recommended to use the 32bit IDE, and generate 32bit applications only. This will change when FPC 2.8.0 is released. All installers include FPC and they include the Lazarus help files. - Versions 1.0 to 1.0.6 come with FPC 2.6.0 - Versions 1.0.8 and up come with FPC 2.6.2
