Probably, what are the two version of GCC you're using. I'm on a trip right now so I can't do any testing, but I'll be home in a week. Regards, John
Hi, On Redhat I get this error after an update from cvs. ../wxLua/configure --prefix="/thales/thales_localwork/soft/usr/local" Now make: /thales/thales_localwork/soft/buildluarel/bk-deps g++ -c -o wxbindadv_lib_wxadv_bind.o -I.pch/wxprec_wxbindadv_lib -I../../wxLua/modules/wxbind/setup -I../../wxLua/modules -I./../../wxLua -I/thales/thales_localwork/soft/buildluarel/../wxLua/modules/lua/include -I/thales/thales_localwork/soft/usr/local/lib/wx/include/gtk2-ansi-debug-static-2.8 -I/thales/thales_localwork/soft/usr/local/include/wx-2.8 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGE_FILES -D__WXDEBUG__ -D__WXGTK__ -pthread -DwxLUA_USEBINDING_WXMEDIA=0 -I/thales/thales_localwork/soft/wxstedit/include -g -O0 ../../wxLua/modules/wxbind/src/wxadv_bind.cpp ../../wxLua/modules/wxbind/src/wxadv_bind.cpp:30:23: error: .pch/wxprec_wxbindadv_lib/wx/wxprec.h: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [wxbindadv_lib_wxadv_bind.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/thales/thales_localwork/soft/buildluarel/modules' make: *** [modules] Error 2 If I add: ../wxLua/configure --prefix="/thales/thales_localwork/soft/usr/local" --disable-precomp-headers and make, it is oke. The precompiled headers are not genereated, the directory is missing. But when I compile wxWidgets itself, they are generated. Next i tried on ubuntu, but there i do not need to specify --disable-precomp-headers. Still when i want to look in the .pch, it is not generated. Therefore it looks like newer version of gcc, skip it is not found?? I did a grep on the script bk-make-pch in the build directory, but it looks like it is never called. So it looks like it is a wxLua/bakefile problem somehow. Regards, Klaas
I _know_ I ran sudo make install, but after running it again, it
decided to work.

You have to put the wxWidgets .so libs into the wxLua lib dir or in a
bash prompt run this to make sure that both wxWidgets and wxLua libs
are available and then wxLua from that prompt. Either that or install
them to /usr/lib or someplace already in your lib path (running make
install for wxLua should have done that, did you do that for wxWidgets
too?)
$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/where/your/wxWidgets/lib/are:/path/to/wxLua/libs

Is AssignImageList bound for wxBookCtrlBase? If not is it hard to bind it? Can it be for the next release? Thanks -- Regards, Ryan
Hi!
I downloaded the wxLua source code from the website, configure'd, make'd and
sudo make installed.
However, when I try to run wxlua, or require("wx"), I'm granted with this
error:
> error while loading shared libraries: libwxlua_gtk2u_wxbindxrc-2.8.so.0:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What gives?
System info:
Linux 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 19:31:57 UTC 2010 x86_64
GNU/Linux
Ok,I know that it may be the version problem of Lua for windows. It still using the version wxlua 2.8.7.0(wxwidget2.8.8). I would ask LFW to update it. Why there is not these functions? """ //wxGridCellCoordsArray GetSelectedCells() const //wxGridCellCoordsArray GetSelectionBlockTopLeft() const //wxGridCellCoordsArray GetSelectionBlockBottomRight() const //wxArrayInt GetSelectedRows() const //wxArrayInt GetSelectedCols() const """ So,how can I get those cells selected? I really don't know, if you print the type of self.button you get that it's a "string", same with self.co. I will look into the code that does the lookup for the value, somehow it's getting replaced with the key for the table? Regards, John
Dear all: I have just encountered this kind of issue, using wxlua in Lua for windows (LuaForWindows_v5.1.4-36).I extend class using the method mentioned in "Extending classes" of http://wxlua.sourceforge.net/docs/wxlua.html. In the attatchment of file "veryminimal.wx.wlua",I wrote a coroutine function in a button handler. Thanks!
