This thread is for helping people find pages that they remember reading, but don't remember by name.
Before you post here, ask yourself:
- Have I used the SCP wiki search bar? The search bar is your friend, and is located to the top right of each site page. Try entering a few keywords in at a time, and browsing through the results.
- Have I checked the series lists? Sometimes you can find something by using a search function (Ctrl+F, Command+F, or the like) to go through the series lists (links on the left sidebar, under SCP Database). Try it a few times with keywords.
- Can I go to the chat for this? If you're looking for a quick answer, consider asking in the IRC chatroom.
- Can I Google Search this? You can append "site:scp-wiki.wikidot.com" at the end of the search terms. Or, just: google.com/search?q=your+search+words+site:scp-wiki.wikidot.com
- Was it mentioned elsewhere? You can look through discussion threads of similar SCP articles to see if anyone's mentioned the article you're looking for as a comparison.
Things to keep in mind!
- This thread is for asking about existing pages. If you're asking "has this been done before?" because you want to write a new SCP, then make a thread in the General Advice forum to ask about basic ideas, or the Ideas and Brainstorming forum for more detailed, developed ideas.
- Please be patient, and don't bump the thread. If you'd like to add anything to your posts, you can edit your comments using the "edit" function under the "options" tab to the lower right of every comment. That prevents spam buildup!
- If you find that you're waiting far too long, PM a staff member, and we'll help you out.
What additional information can I give that will help searchers? (None of these are required! Just suggestions, if you happen to remember these)
- If you're looking for an SCP, do you remember what numerical range it was in (e.g. series)? This can help narrow down searches if there are a few SCPs that are similar to what you're looking for.
- Do you remember the author of the work, or if it was a rewrite or collaboration?
- If you've already tried a few keyword searches, it's courteous to let readers/helpers know. A statement like "I'm looking for [thing!] and I've tried the keywords [word!], [anotherword!] etc." will help the thread-goers help you!
And of course, if you've got any questions, feel free to post in this thread and/or PM me (Zyn). Happy searching!
Going to reply to OP to point out that an invaluable tool for looking for stuff is the Tag Search page. Seriously, that page is fantastic.
I'm looking for a joke tale which provides an in-universe explanation for upvotes/downvotes.
Just saying quickly that you should create a new post instead of replying to older posts.
Yea, though I walk through the lowest rated pages, I will fear no coldpost: for thou art with me SCP Wiki; thy mods and thy staff they comfort me.- Proxymoron
It was a termination log of a reality bender. There was something about a burst of radiation out of grief for his mother's death or something.
What's the SCP that causes hallucinations at night when you're alone in your house?
SCP-3010 AKA "Causal-Absent Paranoia". It's a really good, creepy skip.
I'm looking for a meme that makes everyone think about a certain object. Or something similar, it is for a scp in progress so it doesn't have to be too exact. It has been a very long time since I first read it.
EDIT: Re-posting my comment at the end of the thread for actual visibility. Disregard this comment.
I'm trying to find an scp. It is a knife that, when used to harm, anyone within it's range can't stop the user from doing what they intend to. I remeber the retrevial requires 3 guards each working perfectly to not actively oppose the wielder. I believe the numbers third digit is a 9, but I could be wrong. Does anyoje reconize it?
SCP 668 is the knife you are looking for.
is there a SCP that consumes shadows?
SCP-017

Technically yes, but it's only a problem if the conversation is long past over and/or the new reply is relatively contentless.
In this case, the thread is still active and questions are still being actively answered, plus your response presents new information to the conversation, so you're fine here.
It was a pair of glasses that when you wear it you see gory images. I read it a while ago so the details might be wrong, but I remember it was in either series 2 or 3.
Edit: Found it in the clothing tag. It was Scp-750.
It was a priest for the Church of the Broken God who planned on quitting, but every day his routine reset, like dementia. He lived in Britain. They had a defector from the Church interview him as well.
I'll be crossing you in style, someday!
i am looking for a possible scp possible researcher that is listed in everything dr bright is not aloud to do at the foundation with number 3:
No longer allowed to challenge Able to unwinnable games like tic-tac-toe. It was three weeks before Able conceded a draw.
who is able?
i don't think so as the log says nothing about games and only talks about how it could kill you
It definitely references SCP-076 (who is the only notable SCP named Able). The idea with that particular section from Bright's list is that 76 enjoys "competition" (typically fighting), which is exploited by challenging him to a simple, but unwinnable, game.
I can't remember the number for an SCP, but I think it's under 3000. It's about this well or door that when entered, transported the person into a forest with a path in the middle, a big part about the SCP is that no thing or entity must be referred to with the same name more than once, also there was a person with the head of a bunny and everyone spoke in a very formal and respectful way.
Not sure if it got deleted (doubt it it was at 100 upvotes) but I remember there being a skip which was a grocery store, which attempts to take the grocery store down lead to failure. And like the grocery store was filled to the brim with traps and people felt a memetic urge to shop there. Remember it using the term bureocratohazard (or something with similar spelling) so that my be of some help for looking for it. I’ve tried a lot to find it with no result.
Maybe someone will recognize it:
Keter class
Series 3 iirc
Destroys anything it recognized or understood
Because of this, the air around it is being constantly destroyed- speech is also impossible around it.
Very complex containment procedures involving cleaning and maintenance crews- blocking radio signals and preventing access.
Last effort plan if it breaks containment is to use a cognitohazard to wipe its memory.
Let me know if you remember the #!
As others have pointed out, it is general curtesy to use the New Post button at the bottom of the page instead of replying to the original, so comments can nest correctly.
That said, I believe it's SCP-2442 - Sometimes Therapy Is Merely Painful Truths, by SoullessSingularity.
What’s the SCP that’s a cloud that drops Amazon packages? I believe it was in either series 4 or 5. I’ve been trying to hunt it down and reread it, but I can’t find it.
Trying to find either a SCP that I believe was created based off of "When Day Breaks" where there is hostile water that makes any water it comes into contact with of itself. There was a tale that had it escaping into the planetary ecosystem and just go on a killing spree.

Looking for a skip that became addicted to amnestics due to overuse. I believe it had something to do with a scarecrow, but not completely sure. I've already found the 01 Proposal, and that is sadly not it. Any help is appreciated!
Maybe 3954? That’s the best I’ve got.
Looking for an scp that is very old inside the universe, uses a Japanese mask and it's highly advised to neither listen to what he says nor reply to him
I remember there is a scp that's a copy of the foundation's database. it is a public website and the foundation can't take it down. So they spread rumor that the website is just a place for horror writers to write about abnormal creatures.
Can anyone help me out ?
wait, i just found the "new post" button, please disregard this comment, thank you.

I'm looking for that one SCP where random advertisements would randomly appear in places and there was an interview with someone from the future who was a direct cause of the anomaly.
Alright. This article might have been deleted, but I don't know for sure yet.
Basically, you have this series of historical documentaries entering our world from a parallel one. At first, the documents are "normal" enough. In the other world, Napoleon conquered Europe. Stuff happened, what was left of Russia underwent turmoil, and eventually, either Trotsky or some alternate counterpart of him took over Russia.
So, the alternate history part at the start is interesting enough. But then things get really heated in either the 90s or 2000s of that world when that world's Foundation accidentally starts a world with that world's GOC.
Then, after the war ends (in an apparent stalemate), since the masquerade is well and truly broken on the other side, a documentary detailing the war comes out. It gets pretty intense and describes both the Foundation and the GOC committing war crimes while the world basically gets wrecked.
They interviewed a number of… controversial wartime leaders in the documentary. I think they also interviewed some Gamers Against Weed guy from Russia of all people.
I tried searching for relevant keywords on the main search, and I also tried looking up relevant tags on the tag search, only for nothing to come up. But I know I saw this article. Where is it?
Edit: Need to post this as a new post, sorry
Looking for two scp’s
First one I found a year or two ago. I was scrolling through random scp articles on a discord call with my friends and we found one that had the image of a baby that looked like a hot cheeto. At the time it was the funniest thing in the world and we still bring up the "hot cheeto baby scp" I didn’t even read the article or get time to remember the number I was just laughing at the image the whole time, please help me find this one again.
Second one is was an scp i found scrolling through articles alone and thought it was really interesting. It would appear as a different human to each victim in this small town and convince them to commit suicide by jumping of a certain cliff. In the end it was neutralized because someone grabbed it and made them jump off the cliff with them. I don’t remember much just the last words of an audio log being "oh fuck, oh shit" or something like that.
It was the staff of one of the Site, but very small. They used a SCP-1056 on SCP-682 and it worked at first, but then SCP-682 turned the effect against them and their equipment. They became very tiny people with very tiny cars and very tiny but still dangerous weapon. Their speech was very fast and in order to understand it, they had to make audio recordings and slow them down
I think it was a tale with the title about decommission I think? its something about a department called RAISA? I don't know. I forgot about it.
Edit: whoops, feel free to delete. Posted this in the wrong spot.
Been looking for this one for years at this point
SCP number: probably not series 1 and I believe before 4000. I want to say it’s in the 2000s but I do not remember the number, only that it came out before 5000.
Object class: probably keter, *maybe* euclid.
Locations: Far north, possibly Alaska. Possibly related to a totem but I may be making that up. Midway through one of the researchers gets infected and starts turning into one and so the setting becomes the lab/research station.
Probable tags: humanoid (certain) self-replicating (certain), keter or euclid, beyond that I don’t know, since I’m not a tagger.
Description: it’s a black possibily goey being that I don’t remember any particular facial features it having. It heads towards population centers and by some means I forget, be it proximity or looking at it too much, it turns people into more instances of it.
Other stuff: a researcher turns Into one halfway through the article. He slowly starts to notice his former colleagues becoming distant and notices and comments when they stop calling him by his name. During an interview he repeatedly looks through a wall at someone he shouldn’t have known was there. I think they promise him they’re trying to find a cure, but they don’t, and they possibly terminate him. He may or may not have had a journal. He describes seeing people as bright lights, and I want to say, being "cold, so cold".
If anyone could help me find this I’d be extremely thankful.

Staff only delete threads that contain severe rulebreaking; if you want a comment of yours disregarded, you can blank it or edit it over with a note stating such.
For the record, credit where it's due: this thread exists in part to Agent MacLeod's Lost Connections thread. It's a useful thing to have.
Madd skilz, yo. Thinking of posting all the posts that went unaddressed or unresolved there to here. Bad idea, or no?
Sounds like a good idea to me. If you'd like to migrate the stuff over to one post (can you note the site member who made the post too?) that'd be much appreciated.
I'll make a note in that thread letting people know that the unresolved cases will be carried over to here. Thanks!
What's that scp that's a clock, but could destroy the world by sound alone?
As per what me and Zyn just talked about (scroll up a bit, mate, you'll find it):
From user TheBigDrCon4800:
There is something on A thread about a SCP game on an island.
From user jackuelar:
The scp I'm thinking of is a shard of a greek vase but i can't remember the effects of the scp.
Note: This one did get a response, but that response was very much not confident.
Link
From user Kestin:
I remember reading what I think might have been a tale, but I'm not even sure if it was actually on the wiki, so I'll understand if it's not found. All I remember about it was that SCP-513 was involved, and 513-1 was more aggressive than in the article, and the Foundation thought that it was because the bell was more damaged (I think it was set in the future).
From user jackuelar:
Okay there are two articles that I cannot remember.
One is a DVD player that lets you control the whole film.
The other one is a bunch of dust mites that act like a sandstorm.
Note: someone responded with one of the inquiries, but couldn't find the other, and jackuelar did not confirm whether or not the linked answer was correct.
Link
From user Americium241:
What's that tale that has weird text alignment and is two narrators talking/arguing? I remember one part of it is like "don't listen to them; you can tell by the alignment" or something like that. I remember it's a little goofy, but I can't remember the Foundation-esque part of it. I can't remember enough keywords to find it with the search bar.
Notes: This did garner a response with multiple links, but Americium241 did not confirm or deny any of the links. Further, Americium241 has taken temporary leave of the wiki and likely isn't still searching.
Link
Here's to hoping this thread is as productive as the previous, if not moreso.
I will never be free of these threads, will I?
The SCP I'm looking for is a clockwork fruit tree. It fell to -9, but the author brought it back from the brink. Last I saw, it was in the +20s. The story told involved a dude summoning eldritch things or something? Idunno, there was a really big thing buried under the location of recovery. Help?
XD
What was the article that played audio when the page loaded? The audio was really sarcastic too, like it was mocking itself.
Oh thank you. :)
The SCP im looking for is a weird school where the students do weird stuff, the foundation finds it by going through this trapdoor and they also find some bugbears.
Fear the ponytail!
I'm looking for a tale I read a while back that was about an agent who had his entire explicit memory wiped after some crime/screw up he committed so he could be re-purposed to act as a well-trained but memory-less body snatcher. Most of the tale was in the form of a conversation between the agent and his handler, and it was divided into two parts in reverse-chronological order. The first part described events after the memory-wipe and the second part described events before the memory-wipe. I looked pretty hard for this tale, it might have been deleted or something I'm not sure.
I'm looking for a skip. It's a box of cigars the smoke from which will coalesce into what amounts to ghosts. It may have been deleted not too long ago. Help?
Edit: If it is the one that was just deleted, did anyone save the source code? I still want to read it again.
Bumping this because I read this skip early, early into my entrance into the community. It was one of the first I ever read. I know now that it is not the one that was deleted, because that got a rewrite.
I would very much like to find this skip.
Pardon, I hope I'm not breaching the rules on thread necromancy here, but I've been trying to find a few scp tales for a few weeks now…
1. I think it involves "The Old Man" scp and a man with an amulet that won't let him die? The person who I presume to be the old man takes the amulet from him and lets him die before a brother takes him somewhere?
2. A tale where a few foundation personnel come together after a mass containment breach and the end of the world ensues. Its similar to the "Audio logs: The Last Man Standing" one, I suppose. I'm not sure if they all die in the end, but they do have to run around and avoid serveral scp-objects.
The second one sounds like it might be Incursion. As for the first one, I know exactly what tale that is, and I know I've read it, but the title escapes me and I can't find it now. I'll keep looking.
EDIT: It's Empty Nights. (For reference, the "old man" is SCP-1440 and the amulet is SCP-963.)
OK, looking for a skip. It's a farmhouse and/or a barn that contained shadowy figures what would kill you. It was neutralized by a D-Class who did something, like, super selfless and he got posthumous honors and shit. Help?
It was a demon house thing, yes i remember, i think it was in the archived stories.
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1983
here it is.
Danke :D
Yup that was it. Thanks! That awkward moment where you reply to the wrong comment.
