Want to work for a new Ruby community site?
By Peter Cooper / January 20, 2007
The wonderful people over at DZone (a Digg-like site for developers) are expanding their online publishing empire with a step into the Ruby community. The new site is tentatively named RubyZone and DZone is looking to hire an editor-in-chief and a couple of contributing editors. If you're a good writer and/or editor and you want to make a bigger name for yourself in the Ruby community, this is a great stepping stone. In my experience, the guys at DZone are incredibly nice too, so don't be afraid to get in touch!

January 21, 2007 at 7:57 pmWorking as an editor for EclipseZone has been great so far. You become an instant community leader, you're up on the latest news, people you've never talked to before start sending you free stuff, and the pay's pretty good too.
I've been aware of the upcoming RubyZone for a while now, being inside dzone, and it sounds fantastic. Personally, I can't wait!

January 22, 2007 at 5:16 pmThanks for the plug, Peter, you are the man!
Of course you didn't disclose that we really and truly want *you* to be editor-in-chief at the new Ruby Zone, and we're not going to stop trying to bring you onto the DZone team.
Meanwhile, it is going to be a lot of fun to get a new "zone" started for the amazing world of Ruby, and I hope we'll be able to find some excellent people to help get it moving.
Thanks again!
Rick
