A2DP to DAC with a zest of iPod emulation for BMW/Mini radio head units #2088

Yes another project heavily relying on @pschatzmann 's awesome work (also using the Audiokit library) !
The objective was to enable a form of A2DP music streaming to older (2010s), iPod-enabled head units such as the ones found on Mini Coopers R56.
This required creating a bit of hardware to have a specific UART interface to the car, a basic set of iPod communication instructions and a rudimentary playback engine that passes AVRC notifications and commands from/to the car.

Ultimately the objective was met, to retain steering wheel and radio controls for playback, have song metadata passed from the phone to the display, and at the fraction of the cost of impossible-to-find hardware. Works on Android !

Everything is on the repo here : https://github.com/martinroger/ipodesp32 , instructions are still being written in the wiki (and further hardware being developed !)
