🚀 Feature Request: Game-Artist QoL Tools (Wrap-Around Painting, Bezier + Image Fill, Sprite-Shape-Style Splines) #3243

Summary
I’m a game artist and would love Graphite to add a few productivity features that would make it a serious alternative to Krita/Unity for asset creation.
I also really miss some of the old Flash conveniences — it was fast for drawing, filling, and animating assets.

1️⃣ Wrap-Around / Seamless Canvas Mode

  • What: A toggle to make the canvas tile in X/Y so you can paint/draw seamless textures.

  • Why: Krita’s and old Flash’s wrap mode are fantastic for creating repeating backgrounds, terrain, and game textures. It would be great to have this in a vector/hybrid app.

  • Details:

    • Toggle (hotkey W).
    • Adjustable tile count (×ばつ5).
    • Optional tile-border overlay.
    • Export "single tile" PNG/SVG with extra bleed pixels.

2️⃣ Bezier Curves + Image Fill (Tileable)

  • What: Closed shapes can be filled with an image that repeats, scales, rotates, or mirrors.
  • Why: Great for platform edges, ground pieces, roads, UI panels.
  • Controls: Scale %, rotation, offset, clamp/repeat/mirror, "bake to bitmap".

3️⃣ Sprite-Shape-Style Splines (Unity-Like)

  • What: Spline/path system that swaps sprites along the curve (straight, corner, end caps, etc.).

  • Why: Let artists quickly draw platforms, fences, roads, rivers — like Unity’s SpriteShape but directly in the art tool.

  • Features:

    • Corner types: round, mitre, custom cap.
    • Segment tiling: repeat/stretch/stretch+repeat.
    • Per-knot width/height for variable thickness.

4️⃣ Pattern Along Path

  • What: Repeat any element along a path with spacing/rotation/scale jitter.
  • Why: Quick decoration (stones, foliage, fence posts, rivets).

5️⃣ Game-Dev Export Friendly

  • Batch export slices or sprite sheets.
  • Power-of-two options, padding/bleed, trim transparency.
  • JSON/atlas metadata for Unity/Godot.

Impact
These tools would save a huge amount of time for game artists creating side-scroller and top-down assets.
They combine seamless painting (Krita) with spline/platform workflows (Unity/Flash) — directly inside Graphite.

I’m not sure, but are you also targeting game artists and game developers with this?
If nothing else is possible, having a wrap-around mode would already be amazing.
I’m honestly jealous of pixel art tools — but none of the big ones (even Adobe) have this feature.
Krita does, and it’s such a game-changer for making seamless textures, but it's not a vector art tool.
