When using |suppress= with empty string, the template outputs the maintenance category. Is this the intended behavior?

If empty strings are specified for the other arguments, the template will not output the maintenance category (unless an article connected to a Wikidata item uses the empty |qid=). I believe empty values in |suppress= can also be ignored. 本日晴天 (talk) 03:07, 14 September 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Thank you. By the way, it would be better to change it so that empty qid arguments are always ignored as well. Please note that the Integrated Authority File, or GND, provides data that are edited collectively by German, Austrian, and Swiss librarians. This is why it is not correct to indicate GND data as data from Germany, or from a national source only. Indeed, GND is an international authority file and should please be used as such. The German National Library only provides hosting under its domain. This is why I would like to ask if you please could modify the template and move GND to the international section.
