The Critical Need to Modernize Your Infrastructure: Why Delaying Upgrades Puts Your Business at Risk Why Customers do not Upgrade their Platforms One can wonder why customers put themselves into this uncomfortable situation and it is most probably a combination of the following: "If it works, don’t fix it" There is a natural resistance to change and maybe even more so in IT. When the infrastructure has been working like a swiss clock for many years and there are real revenues attached to it (as it is the case for API Security which is the center pillar of the application economy), the last thing you want to do is to change it un-necessarily. ...

On September the 8th, the main developer of multiple and very popular NPM packages, Josh Junon posted his NPM account has been compromised . The attacker used his account to publish new versions of packages that contain a piece of code that would be executed on the client of a website, which silently intercepts crypto and web3 activity in the browser, manipulates wallet interactions, and rewrites payment destinations so that funds and approvals are redirected to attacker-controlled accounts without any obvious signs to the user. The packages and versions identified with malware at the time of writing this post are the following ones: ansi-styles@6.2.2 ...

Size vs Security: Why Bitnami Secure Image Minimal Node.js Image is the Optimal Choice

The base image is a critical factor in determining a containerized application's overall responsiveness, resource efficiency, and security. A Bitnami Secure Image (BSI) Node.js Minimal provides a secure and efficient alternative to standard Node.js images. Let's explore why. What is a BSI Node.js Minimal Image? The BSI Node.js Minimal image ( bitnamisecure/node-min:latest ) is a specialized container that contains only the necessary components to run a Node.js application. This approach removes unnecessary binaries such as npm and yarn, along with other libraries and dependencies, making the image significantly smaller and more secure. ...

Configuring Endevor Web Services for Multiple EBCDIC Code Pages
By
Piyush Srivastava

Aug 19, 2025
1 person recommends this.
When implementing Endevor Web Services, one optional but important configuration step comes into play if your environment involves multiple EBCDIC code pages. This configuration ensures that data is correctly translated between the EBCDIC character sets used in your system and the client-side character set (typically UTF-8) that is expected for processing and display. If your Endevor system accesses Elements across an inventory that spans multiple EBCDIC code pages, you’ll need to configure Endevor Web Services to handle these differences. This process involves setting up a Code Page Configuration File that maps the correct code pages for various Element ...

Although we already offer industry leading SLAs for threat detection these customers have shared requirements for controls which they feel will make them safer. Amongst these requests we have been asked to stop all emails which contain certain types of URL, emails where the domains used have been recently registered, and emails from particular parts of the world.
