About Ray

Ray is the founder of TwoCaret, a network systems development group. He currently works as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer for the University of Maine System. He has been published by InformationWeek and featured by Cisco on IPv6 deployment topics.

Ray has helped to run the Northeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition since 2010, serving as head judge for the 2013 and 2016 competitions hosted at the University of Maine.

He is an advocate for Free Software and the necessity for Open Source in network and security infrastructure. He was a volunteer for the Free Software Foundation from 2000 to 2004, and chief webmaster for the GNU project from 2002 to 2004.
