To celebrate GIS Day yesterday, Salt Lake County Emergency Management presented on GIS in emergency management and fire at Salt Lake Community College. Our GIS Specialist was on a panel with local GIS professionals to answer questions and provide career advice to students.

Unified Fire Authority’s Wildland Division is currently burning fuel piles in the Brighton area. These burns are controlled and monitored on site. They will continue throughout the week as conditions allow.
