Two things:
1. Whatever y'all are doing over at the admin site's apparently working. Go go go!
2. Shouldn't that reptile thingie have been decommed?
That piece of shit? Naw, straight up deleted.

…682? deleted? really?
Sure, and I'm not surprised. Good riddance. It was a friggin Mary Sue written by some n00bie half-assed writer.
You do realize if we delete 682 it will adapt internet using abilities, right?
Looks like it already did.

If we honestly decommission 682 can I recommend a massive multi-SCP clusterf*** designed to kill 682? And if people are crazy smart enough to allow me to try this would anyone be willing to communicate with me about doing this? I'm thinking multi phase SCP based attacks with SCP's designed to complement one another (like 053 and 1101). And if that fails just drop it out of a plane while shooting nukes at it and making sure it lands on a bouncy castle that launches it into the sun.
Well, what I had propsed in the chat was to use the Sun Launcher to get rid of 682, but aim for deep space instead of the sun, because apparently the first second time it was launched, it came back on fire. The page doesn't say how 682 came back (my guess is it used gravity to slingshot back). If we fire 682 into deep space, it'd probably be unable to come back. Unless 682 has self-propulsion capability…
Why would anyone outright delete 682 anyway? I mean, it fits all the requirements for an SCP, it's well-written, and you definitely have the Nightmare Fuel factor. Besides, 682 is a well-known (within the community at least) example of what a good SCP is. You wouldn't delete 173, would you? Neutralize it, sure, if someone found a way, but you wouldn't completely expunge it. There's some things that shouldn't be retconned from existance, and 682 is one of them.
So I don't come off as a complete [EXPLETIVE REDACTED]: The rest of those deletions make perfect sense. What the heck was 688 anyway?
I wish people would stop talking about the Sun Launcher.
Looking at this, it occurs to me that we now have an excellent resource of "what not to do" on our hands.
Would it be possible to put the SCPs marked for "deletion" into some sort of "dustbin" or "wastebasket" area with a couple of sentences from each admin about why it isn't up to snuff, and/or the things that it does do well (if the admin voted in favor). It seems like it would help avoid needing to do another mass edit.
I would like to note that this was more or less the original intention behind decomms. The decomm is a dustbin list.
yeah, what Dox said. A couple were saved for decom *glares at Waxx* but beyond that, most of these suckj too much even for that.

Personally I'm interested in reading "Chained Brute". I don't think I ever read that one D:
and I daresay you won't get the chance to, son.
I think I remember that one. It was… wait for it… a brute what was chained up when he was found.
I think he shot electricity and had chains made of that annoying unknown material. Mind you I'm going off of a several months old entry of a forgettable SCP to begin with but… I think I found a picture of him.
Darkstalkers_Victor.pngWell… that'd do it, eh? Good that it got cleaned out, then.
I've had a bit of a case of the deads lately, and haven't been by here or the IRC channel for a bit, so I'm kinda surprised at the long list of deletions, but having remembered a few of the odder ones, I can't say I blame you folks.
Meanwhile, not even deletion will kill 682.
It's like as if Guile and Quasimodo humped Blanca…
From what I recall, it was basically The Hulk (I think he even had green skin) who was chained and connected to some weird white machine/fridge/computer thingy that kept him asleep. When the machine thingamajigabobajiggajig was turned off, he'd come to life, beat up people around him (he could break his chains apparently) and occassionally speak Russian. It was implied he was a secret Soviet experiment.
Nothing too fancy
