In order to understand the pre-neoplastic changes occurring in inflamed bladder tissue, we used reduced representation bilsulfite sequencing (RRBS) to examine the DNA methylation patterns of CpG islands in the dissected bladder urothelium after exposure of mouse bladder to injected Schistosoma haematobium eggs or injection with vehicle alone.
