About the District

As part of the U.S. Department of Justice, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio is responsible for prosecuting cases involving violations of federal laws and representing the interests of the United States government and its agencies in criminal and civil matters.

There are 94 U.S. Attorney's Offices throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The Southern District of Ohio has staffed offices in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton. We cover 48 counties in the Southern part of Ohio.
