Dear All,

The ICP2016 has been a great success, and it has come to an end. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your contributions to this conference as presenters, participants, and supporting staff. We believe that you experienced exciting international and interdisciplinary exchanges of ideas and research findings, reflecting "Diversity in Harmony".
Again, we thank all of you, and we wish you a safe and nice trip back home.

On July 26th, a horrifying mass killing occurred at a facility for disabled people in the same prefecture as the Congress venue. The ICP2016 Executive Committee would like to express our most sincere condolences to the victims and their relatives. From the perspective of the congress theme of ICP2016, "Diversity in Harmony", we deeply regret the atrocious crime against the severely handicapped people. As psychologists, we will make every endeavor to prevent such saddening incidents that go against our congress theme.

ICP2016 Congress Proceedings, which consist of contributions mainly from Keynote Speakers, will be published after the congress. About a month after the congress, all participants will receive further information from the Congress Office regarding how to get a 50% discount on your order.

After receiving the complete set of necessary documents, the issuing of "Documents for visa application" from ICP2016 may take up to several weeks due to the large number of requests we currently receive. We strongly urge you to manage your visa application schedule accordingly.

Scientific program finalization

The scientific program is currently under development. The preliminary version of the scientific program will be available by late May. The finalized scientific program will be published officially on the ICP2016 website around June 2016. Please note that we cannot accommodate individual scheduling requests.

URGENT: Announcement to all presenters from the ICP2016 Scientific Program Committee

In order to make a presentation at ICP2016, all presenters must complete the payment of the registration fee. Even if the abstract has been accepted by the Scientific Program Committee, the presentation will NOT be confirmed until payment is completed.

(1) The request for payment of registration fee uniformly applies to ALL presenters of the following format:

– Invited Address
– Invited Symposium (organizers, co-organizers, speakers, discussants)
– Contributed Symposium / Thematic Session (organizers, co-organizers, speakers, discussants)
– Oral / Poster / Rapid Communication presentations

(2) We strongly recommend all organizers of a Symposium or a Thematic Session to make sure that their fellow speakers have completed their payment.

Feedback on the review results of ALL abstracts submitted (including Oral/Poster presenters, Symposium speakers, Thematic Session speakers, and Rapid Communication) has been sent by e-mail. If you did not receive your feedback by April 01, 2016, you may wish to go through the Spam or Junk mail folders. If the notification did not reach you, please send your inquiry to . Please provide your ICP2016 account ID number and your abstract ID in your e-mail inquiry.

With "Rapid Communication," you can share your latest ideas and findings. The Scientific Program Committee has decided to receive abstract submissions for Rapid Communication until March 31, 2016 (24:00, Japan Standard Time). Please see Call for Abstracts for details. For submission, please use the "Start Registration & Submission" button on the top page.

If you would prefer to pay after receiving notification of abstract acceptance, you are required to pay the registration fee by April 1, 2016 in order for your presentation to be included in the program.

New Submission Deadline: January 15, 2016

Considering the great number of requests from participants, the Scientific Program Committee has decided to receive abstract submissions for Oral/Poster presenters, Symposium speakers, and Thematic Session speakers until January 15, 2016 (24:00, Japan Standard Time).
*Please note that feedback on the review results of abstracts submitted after December 1, 2015, will not be sent until mid-March, 2016.

We expect a very high number of submissions between November and December 1, 2015, especially during the last hours before the submission deadline. During that time, the large amount of traffic on the congress web server may potentially result in difficulties or delays in accessing the submission webpage. We strongly encourage you to leave plenty of time for your submission.

We have launched a new presentation category, "Thematic Sessions", where researchers talk and intensively discuss a single important theme in psychology and related fields. Different from Contributed Symposium, a thematic session can be composed of speakers all from the same country. The deadline of abstract (proposal) submission for thematic session organizers is October 1st, 2015, 24:00 Japan Standard Time. Please see Call for Abstracts for details about the submission procedure.

As indicated in the right-side column of this page, tThe general flow of the process for Registration & Abstract Submission has changed. Now you can submit your abstract before or after registration and payment. If you would prefer to pay after receiving notification of abstract acceptance, you are required to pay the registration fee by April 1, 2016 in order for your presentation to be included in the program. Please note that the registration fee will increase from December 2, 2015. If you have completed payment but wish to cancel your attendance due to non-acceptance of your abstract, you will be fully refunded if you directly inform the ICP2016 office of your intention to withdraw by email () within a month of receiving notification of non-acceptance.

In order to improve convenience, the ICP2016 Organizing Committee has decided to modify the Registration & Submission System in the second half of August, 2015. After that, you can pay the registration fee either at the time of abstract submission or after the notification of abstract acceptance. If you prefer to pay the registration fee at the time of the abstract submission, please register now using the present system. If you prefer paying after the notification of abstract acceptance, please wait until the next announcement, then access the Registration & Submission System. We appreciate your kind understanding.
