Welcome, Wanderer.

No folding, spindling, or mutating your fellow patrons.

Our rules are three: Respect your fellow patrons. Do not damage the Library. Return your books on time. You’ll need a card to check out, of course. See the front desk for that, it should be just under a week’s journey from here. You’ll have to give the Archivist your True Name, but don’t worry, we keep it under the strictest levels of security. Oh, and stay away from locked doors. There are places here where even we will not protect you.

What is the Wanderers' Library?

Our rules are three: Respect your fellow patrons. Do not damage the Library. Return your books on time. You’ll need a card to check out, of course. See the front desk for that, it should be just under a week’s journey from here. You’ll have to give the Archivist your True Name, but don’t worry, we keep it under the strictest levels of security. The Wanderers' Library is a collaborative collection of stories that explore strange and fantastic corners of the world, hidden from ordinary eyes. Some of the stories take place in the distant past, taking the form of legends and fables. Others are from the modern day, hiding in the shadows just out of sight. The basic premise is that there are strange things that are not quite of our world. Some are dangerous, some are merely fascinating. They are all in some respect extraordinary.

In universe, the Library is an extradimensional magical archive of all knowledge throughout the worlds. Its halls contain every book that has been written, will be written, and many that won't. Wizards, scholars, and patrons of all species and origins come to seek knowledge under the watchful eyes of the Librarians, mysterious eldritch entities tasked with the upkeep of the Library. The SCP Foundation has had many run-ins with the Library, and their relationship has been chronicled many times.
