Oscheius tipulae is a free-living androdioecious species of nematode, characterized by the coexistence of males and hermaphrodites. It is used as a satellite developmental genetic model organism to study vulva formation.

Assembly
The genome of O. tipulae was assembled by Georgios Koutsovolous and Fabrice Besnard from the Blaxter Lab in University of Edinburgh, using a combination of short-read and mate-pair data, as described in Besnard et al. (2017).
Annotation
The genome was annotated using MAKER2 and Augustus, as described in Besnard et al. (2017).
