はじめに

ブログ、より正確には「Web log」はインターネットの大衆化の中で盛んになった表現活動の一形態です。書き手は老若男女、思想や宗教を問いません(反ブログ教会の信徒であったりしない限りは!)。

SCPという一つの文芸サイトにおいて、ほとんどすべての作品にはその文章が書かれる場という文脈を持っており、そしてそれは大きな影響をもたらすものです。文脈性は記述と理解の援けになるかもしれませんが、時として足枷となります。

一般的なブログ風のフォーマットを使えば、その文脈性を振り払うことができるかもしれない。その発想からできたのがこのフォーマットです。

感謝

Qingtanとは?

先に述べた通り、このフォーマットはフォーマット自体の理念的文脈性を希釈する目的で作成されました。多くのSNSやWeb logサービスと同じく、様々な人々が様々な目的でこのサービスを利用していると思われます。

とりわけこのフォーマットは1998年や壊された虚構のような、「ヴェール」の存在しない世界観において有用でしょう。一般の大衆、もしくはそれに近しい立場の人々が変わりゆく社会をどのように見ているかを様々な立場から書き表すことが可能です。

Qingtanとは、「清談」を意味します。凡そ3〜4世紀の中国(後漢末〜西晋期)において知識層が世俗を離れて行った議論を指す言葉です。その中でとりわけ著名な人々が「竹林の七賢」であり、笹にペン先をかたどったQingtanのロゴはこれに由来しています。

おそらくは世俗の対立を超越して(もしくは敢えてそれを踏まえた上で)様々な記述が現れることを、創設者/運営者が期待したからなのかもしれません。然し実際には非常に多様な記事が存在する活発なWeb logサイトとなっており、創設者/運営者はそれを宜しく見ており気にしている様子はありません。

Qingtanの成立時期や設立者は厳密に決定されてはいません。多くの物事と同様カノンはなく、自由に決めて構いません。

以下はフォーマット作成上の想定です。あくまで個人の非公的な見解に過ぎません。その旨ご了承くださいますようお願い申し上げます。

「翰林書院(Hanlin Syuyuan)」という団体があります。実在は不明です。同名の団体があってもそれがホンモノであるとは限りません。元となっている語二つあり、一つが唐の「翰林学士院」もしくはそれ以後の「翰林院」であり、もう一方が「書院」です。いずれも今日「アカデミー」の訳語として用いられることがあります。

「翰林院」は科挙で最高の成績を収めたようなごく一部の人間のみが集まる最上位の知識エリート集団/機関であり、皇帝に直属していました。一部は各地の要職に就き、残存したより精鋭の文官たちは詔書・勅令の起草や書物の編纂・管理、教育等に当たっていました。また優れた宮廷画家などにもここへ帰属していたものが存在します。

「書院」も唐代に始まるもので、玄宗が置いた集賢殿の書院が端緒とされています。書院は歴史を通して公民ともに数多く存在しました。多くは科挙の準備機関のような形になったものの、それが全てではありませんでした。いずれにせよ書院の存在は、膨大な書籍の保存と知識人の養育に貢献し、今日の教育へ繋がっています。

「翰林書院」とは最上位の知識層による知識・事物の集積と解釈を行う集団であり、おおよそ客観的立場にあります。

その特性上、「翰林書院」は放浪者の図書館やマクロカオシズムなどと関連を持っているのかもしれません。

Qingtanは「翰林書院」もしくはそれに関係する人物によって作成された可能性が指摘されています。真実は闇の中です。
