Yes, it is inaccurate.
I don't want to be penantic on the point, but I think it could be 
helpful for us as microformateers to try and dispel the myth.

Thanks. I've actually go more such posts in the queue, mostly because 
Dimitri rightfully pointed out that we don't talk much about semantic 
[x]html in general- we only talk about specifics. I think I've made 
too many assumptions about people's backgrounds- I assume that 
everyone here knows html, xhmlt, css and rest (not in the colloquial 
sense, but in the academic formulation). I've also assumed that 
people are at least vaguely familiar with RDF and related technologies.
I realize now that some of these assumptions have been wrong- mostly 
people don't *really* know html well and don't realize that there's 
more for them to know.
So, I'm planning on writing a series of blog posts on general issues 
semantics and the aforementioned technologies. Coming up:
1. Semantic tables (hopefully a precursor to more XOXT work).
2. rel vs. rev
3. structure vs. semantics (when do they work together and when are 
they independent?)
4. ???
I'm open to suggestions, both in terms of what should be covered and 
in which order.
