I think it would. The RAM is definitely fine, you might be a bit short on the flash side (but then again, I don't have experience with the H8300S, they might have better code density than ARMs).

on an embedded device? (H8300S, for what it's worth.)
I have a device with 256kB RAM and ~128kB of flash. Would a full
(integer only) Lua be usable on this?
