32 bits is good enough for most of my uses.
Please include both signed and unsigned field extraction as per my
plea (rant?) at http://lua-users.org/wiki/BitwiseOperators
Mike, Thank you for your superb work on LuaJIT. It is a fine piece of
engineering, and has been very useful for me.
