  • Abstract

The observational results in Lin;an show the elevated average concentrations of surface ozone and Nitric Oxides(NOx)in the rural area in the eastern mid-latitudes of China. The mechanism of its variations was explained by the theoretical analysis. In the case of breeze, the photochemical reactions controlled by solar radiation is the determined factors affecting the variations of the surface O3 and NOx.A study of the correlation between NOx and SO2 demonstrates that the biomass burning is an important local emission source of NOx.
