NUMERICAL SIMULATION ON ACIDIFICATION OF CLOUD WATER

  • ,
  • Abstract

The numerical simulation on the acidification of cloud water has been carried out with the assumption that the cloud droplets forming on the sulfuric acid, sulfate and nitrate nuclei dissolve acidic and alkaline gases and achieve a gas-liquid equilibrium in a very short time. The result shows that the acidification of cloud water is not only related to the initial concentration of acidic, alkaline gases and aerosol of cloud air, but also to the cloud water content.
