ye-bot work

Well the Ye-Bot paper toy has been around for a while now but Marko Zubak at Yebomaycu.com is running a ye-bot initiative. He is collecting work at the moment to be shown at the II LOVE & ye-boT exhibition happening at the NextComic Fare on the 4th March 2011.

I have been trying to get some work done for it but have only just got around to getting a design on paper and here is my contribution for the exhibition

it did start off as this but thought it was a bit boring!

Finished at long last!!

well finally after about 6-7 months I have finished the optimus prime transformer, and i'm sure glad it is finished!! It's like one of the models you have to build but when you are finished all other models look tiny. It's now on top of my wardrobe because I have nowhere to put it?? I usually bin my models (recycle) once they are built but i don't think this one!!, will have to find someone to take it as the wife would not want it around the house!..never mind eh?

and before anyone says anything yes the picture of it's back is photoshop'd I had taken 4 pictures of it's back but not a full one so i had to join the pics together..

Right onto the next model....to finish of my unicorn Gundam..

Frustrating things!!

Doing the fingers of this optimus prime models is about the most time consuming things I have done for a while now. Each finger has 51, yes 51 parts PER FINGER!! a real nightmare but I have almost finished the model now and will be putting it all together soon

oh and here's some pictures of the legs joined to the waist section now. not the greatest in overall balance but hopefully it will stand by itself,

not much happening

Not much going on at the moment, am trying to finish all my work for college, just one more essay then one more test and that should be me finished at college (hopefully). Won't be going on to get a higher subject have struggled with this one.

Anyway about my transformer model, I only have one finger and one thumb left to make. Then I need to gloss all the red/blue parts, stick it all together then take some photo's for the web. I have not got a clue what i'm going to do with a 4 foot tall robot?

Last weekend The Love Movement art show was held in San Francisco. The show was based on Shin and His wife's creations (Tboy and Dankeschoen bear).
50 Pairs of vinyl toys were sent around the globe to artists to custom them so they could featured in the show. Artists were also asked to create works of art on canvas to be show also.
By the amount of pictures taken at the show it looks like it was a great success. The following Danke Boy and Schoen Girl paper toys were sent to the people who helped fund the show of which I was one of them.

If you would like to see pictures from the show check out the followings sites

This was a model that I created for the 'style needs no color'-booth at the Blooom! art fair in cologne, The idea was to custom one of nick Knite's mechabunny models but it had to be in black and white.
I wanted to try and do something else with the model pieces and after fooling around with the pieces in different positions I decided it looked like a duck!!
Anyway I was so honoured that my piece was shown at the art fair, it was my first piece of work shown off the internet and hopefully it won't be my last!! thanks nick
